We are out west riding and we have 2 axys 163 s that are identical, both stock, both have 150 miles/ 10 hrs, both have same weights in. One is running awesome all the way through throttle and getting 8250 rpm BUT the 2nd sled is a little boggy all the way through throttle and mostly pulls around 7800 rpm.... every once in a while 8000. End of the day that 2nd sled used almost a 1/2 gallon of oil and it used 2.5 more gallons of gas!! We rode the both really hard all day and same miles. Changed plugs but didn't help either. Both set on 91 oc. REALLY FRUSTRATING! any ideas??
Thanks!

TPS Check / clutch weight?

Me and a friend both had snow checked Axys. His bogged higher in the RPM band and mine would bog at the 3950 rpm mark, would not even take off. To fix our problems, we did the TPS adjustment and put HPS cans on them along with new plugs after the 18hr break in period. Both sleds really rip now. My buddy is a awesome rider and he takes that sled where ever he wants, has no problem making lines that the turbo riders in our group have difficulties on. We are both running 58 weights, the sleds are really snappy and run 8350 to 8400 RPM.

I am having the same issues with one of my two sleds. One is my son's 155 and it rips! we ride in Colorado at 9 to 10k. We both have 10-62 weights. His will pull 8300 all day and mine will only pull 8k. I did install an SLP pipe and can and it did help in the mid to top but it still gurgles do low. We both have 22 hours on them. They got a little better after 18 hrs. I just did a head mod to bring the compression up and that made a huge gain. Way more than the pipe and can. It sill gurgles down low but it just blasts past that when you grab a bunch of throttle. There a 5 of us that have the SLP pipe and can in our group. Mine was the worst with the boggy stuttering throttle down low, now with the head it will out pull all of my buddies. It is so snappy that on the trail if you nail it you better hold on. My buddies say its almost too much on the trail. Love It!!

What head mod did you do? Also has your tps ever been adjusted correctly?

My TPS was checked both top and bottom.
.940 and .698 I think. They raised the top and lowered the bottom a little. It raised the idle a little but was still to rich.
RMXTREME in Denver did the head work.

Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). It is a critical component for the fuel injection system. It tells the ECU(Engine Control Unit) what the throttle position is, and it knows then how much air is going into the engine through the throttle bodies combined with the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor. It then squirts the correct amount of fuel via the fuel injectors.
