Axys Polyester trailerable cover on the matrix

I was wondering if anyone has attempted to fit their old Axys trailering cover on the matryx.

Sorry for the typos in the title, I would edit and correct them if that were possible.

I saw a post from a Polaris ambassador couple weeks ago and he claimed that it fit. He already went riding so assuming he drove with it on too. I’m sure going to try

Same here just bought 2 brand new covers off marketplace. Going to try to hem them so they fit snug around the new tunnel

If you are subjecting your cover to a sewing machine I have two suggestions for you.

On the front of the cover behind the spindle there is a vertical piece of velcro that is too far back to really hold the spindle strap. Sew on a piece of 2" wide velcro horizontally in front of the original piece. This allows the strap to come around and hold at the position where the cover is in its naturally fitted state.
On the rear, I had a 1" side release buckle that I added a 6" extension strap to, double the end over and sew. Now, instead of the rear end with the hook simply coming up to the ladder lock for adjustment (which is way too short anyway), feed the new extension strap into the ladder lock and the hook end strap into the adjuster of the side release buckle. When you are traveling in icy/slushy conditions and the straps get frozen, you can now unbuckle the hook, remove and then re-buckle the hook to the cover. Ski-Doo does this and I think it makes excellent sense.
Sorry no pictures and I have done 3 covers this way so far.

Thanks for the tips!

Main reason is I bought 163" covers so need to shorten for the 155 slash but I like your ideas. Ice and slush are not an issue on the sled deck thankfully.

I hauled my sled on a sled deck a couple winters ago to the north of Idaho and it had nasty slush build up and then froze hard. This is when I decided to upgrade the straps. It could have been we were hauling on a duallie, but who knows.

Again not trying to derail the original intent of the post, but adding context with pictures. After all, who doesn't like pictures?

Rear buckle is pretty self explanatory. These can be made off the cover and then thread the 1" strap into position.
The front Velcro from the factory is too far back and not aligned with the spindle strap so the cover has to be bunched up behind the spindle to get a little bit to hook and hopefully hold. By adding the horizontal piece in front, it better aligns with the strap and allows the cover to be pulled tight to the rear without pulling the spindle strap loose.
