I wreaked the rails on my axys, looking at ice age. a pair of ice age is cheaper than 1 poo rail. anybody have any 1st hand with these. is it worth upping to the bomber rails

The bomber rails are great for hard pounding on the sled...

The other thing is adding more cross bracing to keep the rails from bowing out.

Can you post up a couple of photos of your bent rails.

IceAge Rails are top notch and have all of the OEM rail experience behind them.... Their products are TOP NOTCH!

.

I bent a set of 162 rails back on 2006, ever since then I add an extra cross shaft and havent bent another rail.

I have straightened about 6 sets of rails since then. its not hard to do, you just need to work them slowly back into shape in a large shop press. Every set I straightened had an extra shaft added and did not rebend.

The first set I fixed was intended to be a temporary fix but turned into a permanent fix.

Just throwing it out there. Eric

I bent my stock rails on my 15 on the 2nd ride and ran ice age bombers the rest of the year. Before my 16 saw snow I added a cross shaft in front of the rear torque arm.

Pretty much echo what everyone else has said, Ice Age makes some very good stuff. In fact, in a sense your Poo already has Ice Age rails on it. Ice Age contracts with Polaris and manufacturers rails for them, or least they did for the Pro's.

Give them a call, there really good to deal with too.

They still do but they are different departments.

Ice Age for the win! Take a look at the X-Brace as well.

I really dig the ZRP ones pictured. Wonder if a color option will be avail?

Although Ice Age is working the hill climb braces as we speak, they only have the 155 at powder coat now and will start the 163 anytime.

Either way, ice age sells amazing products and I've used their rails on every sled I've built/owned..

My guess is you meant Anodizer, not powder coat. I don't think Ice Age will powder coat aluminum because they are smart enough to know that it takes the strength out of it.

They will not and also will not warranty their products if you Powder Coat them. For Rails anyways, For the X-Brace they told me to problem powder coating it.

No sir.

I knw ur stance on powder coat and I strongly disagree. I've powder coated dang near everything I own and NEVER had a single failure..it takes the right temp and knowledge to knw proper temps. I've def seen ppl over heat parts before and also poor prep which flakes and they give it a bad rep. It's my #1 go to coloring..

Quote from my buddies at ice age..

"We are a few weeks out on the 163's. The units I just dropped off at powdercoat are all 155's and we are setting up the tooling to make the 163's right now"

155 only at this time?

Only 155 right now. They found that there was unexpected, very slight, differences between the assault and pro rails this year so they are working though that at the 155 level first before going to 163.

Colorwise, they can get you darn near any color you want, Anodized.
They just don't move enough inventory to guess at what colors people want and in what amounts like ice age can. Just have to shoot them an email if you want a color, it'll cost a bit more but they can do it for you.
