Axys build question

Hi everyone, long time reader first time poster here, i get my axys at the end of last winter (do 3km where snow left and park it for summer), now im looking to "make it ready" for winter

that a list of what i already order
1- b&m front bumper
2- zbroz 39" a-arms
3- e-sticky wrap

list of thing i will order soon
1- tether switch, suggestion for good one?
2- itek rear bumper
3- can, not sure witch one but i will not start another can thread

list of thing i have question
1- skid plate? needed with the b&m bumper? polaris one?
2- polaris "pro fit heated windshield bag", any opinion? defrost google? or i can try to fit my proride under hood bag?
3- iceage "brace kit" for rail, good or not? i was hopping to just add a cross shaft like the pro ride assault but rail doesn't have lot of materiel in this spot
4- pro ride rear shock?? i know the axys one is longer, but i still have a fox rear kit for pro ride and wondering if someone try it (negative effect)

thanks to people that take time to read and answer to this post, btw i try using the search function without to much success, maybe that my french head that it not using good word to search

I have a nxtlvl windshield bag and i like it. I run the stock bumper and no skid plate. Stock bumper because the tabs are so weak that id rather crush the bumper. I dont mow down trees either so theres that. I dont really see the point in a skid plate these sleds sit so high that maybe a skid plate for the quickdrive would help but not a front one. Also i didnt bend any stock arms last year, that being said im trying a kmod 37 front end this year. The sled is great out of the box. I had good luck with a carls revalve on the shocks and i like my slp pipe set

The Polaris bag will not defrost goggles, no where near enough heat gets into it from the engine compartment, the pro ride solution under the hood is best, for me anyways.

Sounds like you really want to spend some money. Why buy the bumpers, just let the stock ones get trashed then buy a replacement. For me, my first purchase was and would be the pipe/can from SLP.

You can make your Pro Ride under hood goggle bag work. I ran an SLP can which is also nice to mount a Muff Pot if you're into hot food. The can isn't very loud but has a deep throaty sound and way lighter than the factory can.

I like the Pro Armour tether kit from OFT Racing. It's plug and play.

I tried the factory skid plate under my B&M Fab front bumper and it interferes with the bottom mount of the bumper. I sold the skid plate and ran without. Not really necessary with the protection that the bumper gives you.

not to bust this thread but Dirty Steve, how did you attach the bag up under there. I have a 2017 pro 163 coming and I am getting the nextlevel windshield bag but want more storage with heat for defrosting. Are you using velcro? Also how did you attach muffpot to can?

If you look at the top of the bag, you can see a thin strip of aluminum. It's just drilled and held in between the two layers of plastic with the plastic dart, then bolted to the bag at the opposite end to hold it up. I used a zip tie to hook the back corner of the bag. Used the Velcro to attach the over structure tube, and the front hook is hooked to the bottom of where the carbon fiber tube plugs into the aluminum socket.

On the Muffpot I just flattened the little "wings" on the bottom of the mount, the attached to the can by drilling through both pieces and used steel chassis rivets. Worked great for 650 miles last season and loosened up. I would not use aluminum rivets for this. Also, to maker sure it fits right. Take the hood off and put your side panel back on so you can view from above to make certain that the Muffpot is oriented so it won't rub or touch the side panel.

what skid plate interfered? i was going to go with ultimate skid and bm bumper. can you elaborate? thanks

It was the basic Polaris skid plate. It hits the tubes of the bumper where they wrap under the belly pan. It also make it so the part of the bumper that bolts to the bulkhead doesn't sit flat . I could have squeezed it in there but thought there really is no point to running both the bumper and skid plate. Just adding weight and an extra spot to catch snow.

1- tether switch, suggestion for good one? Get the OFT Racing plug & Play Pro Armor Tether and a Axis CNC inc mount.
2- itek rear bumper. Get the B&M Fabrication rear bumper... It will actualy protect your tunnel while looking good.
3- can, not sure witch one but i will not start another can thread. Sorry.. Dont like cans

list of thing i have question
1- skid plate? needed with the b&m bumper? polaris one? From what I know you can run them.. Sometimes just takes some cutting/Drilling
2- polaris "pro fit heated windshield bag", any opinion? defrost google? or i can try to fit my proride under hood bag? I run the Polaris dash bag which is very nice... Not heated
3- iceage "brace kit" for rail, good or not? i was hopping to just add a cross shaft like the pro ride assault but rail doesn't have lot of materiel in this spot. The brace kit is very nice if you really pound the sled. The X-Brace is a very nice brace that helps from bending and twisting.

Hope this helps!

thanks for your answer guys, look like i will run without skidplate and try my underhood bag before purchasing anything else

@Paluby , boost is nice, but don't realy have 6000$(cdn) to put on it, and at low altitude running a pump gaz turbo don't make that much more hp

@akfullthrotle , the oft tether look nice, the mount plate put the tether on base of the pro taper? how much for the mount plate?
why do you think the b&m rear bumper will protect more the tunnel than itek? (was going with itek for price(made in canada) and ability to just change part of the bumper if i weak them)
iceage brace, im not really hard on the sled, just heavy and where i ride we don't always have lot of snow, just don't want the rail to "pop" out in the middle(where suspension bump is) like it does on my 2012 pro rmk...
Loudhandle TSS bypass, what is the use of that? on axys?

More like $4000 CDN and you can easily run 180+hp on pump gas.

The OFT tether will mount right to your bars so you do not need the mount but is a very nice piece and I love having it mounted in the center of the bars. The mount plate replaces your stock top bar mount. It was $40 shipped

The BM bumper matches the tunnel line thus proving more strength.. It is also full length where it needs it. I can only provide my opinion from what I have seen in the field. I would guess getting something in Canada is easier for you but my vote is BM.

You may want to look at IceAge Bomber rails if your having issue at the top where the rear arm mounts? I do love my IceAge X-Brace though!

In the case where you rip out the factory wires on the throttle block and can no longer run your sled you could simply plug this in and run. Now I am not going to promote just using this in place off but many do. This will bypass your factory Throttle Safety Switch.

Here you go
