Axys 800 Fox Shocks on 850

Hey guys, I've been reading all over the internet trying to decide if I can retrofit my current FOX QS3 Burandt shocks off of my 2017 Axys on my new 2019 Axys 850 with no concrete answer. I KNOW that geometry is slightly different but question is - what am I loosing by installing shocks off of 800 Axys on an 850? What are the Con's? And can they be shortened to work on 850?

I believe the shocks are to long for the react front end. You could go to a aftermarket a-arm like a raptor 37-r and they would work. I have no knowledge of if fox shocks can be shortened to fit. If you have rear shocks they will work just fine.

There was a thread about this last year. As I recall, some posters claimed it would change the geometry too much and others claimed it didn't make a big enough difference to rule out before trying it first.
