Awesome spring ride in NE Nevada with pics.

My son and I had a great run in the Rubies today, blue sky and 60 degrees. We took a few pictures of a little chute climbing, a little cornice jumping, some scenery with a couple other favorites thrown in. We may get one more ride in next weekend. Hope so anyway:):D:beer;

Scott... im jealous!!! Got home off night shift and saw you guys drive by the house headin up... Im goin up tues-thurs!

The snow should still be good. I was surprised how smooth it was on the mountain today considering we haven't seen a flake in a few weeks. Watch out for all the sinkholes starting to show.

Thought I would share some spring-time in the Rubies pics myself...

Look at the "roll" track on the slope behind the rear of the sled, that thing looks like it rolled 50+ times!

All those were taken May 19th (yesterday). I had a good ride, but really couldnt go hard as I couldnt get anyone to tag along (and not another sled ALL DAY!). I didnt go up Liberty... but could have. Couldve walked out at any point if the sled broke... I unloaded at the bathrooms (check the california/nevada thread for more pics), but you always gotta think about injury. Dropped a few rocks, about 10' or so, again... no buddies. Going again tommarrow (21st)... again, alone.

Naw... didnt roll her that trip (besides,wont climb THAT high...yet;)). Was riding alone so played it pretty safe. Thanx for not LAUGHING;). Paid $600.00:beer; and it runs great! The clutch needs some TLC (think it was re-done in 1994:eek:) Other than that...its actually outlasted my ZRT600, Mountain Max and Summit 800! (all sittin w blown motors:() This summer gonna rebuild the motor and got a 1 3/4x136 track for it. For now its basically a loaner for friends (or mine when the other 3 are blown up:D) and im gonna keep it around for my daughter to grow into.
