Avy reports for the Snowies?

im not sure if that is in wyoming but if it is try avalanche.org and if you do not always ride in the snowys theres other state reports on this site it is a really good site

I thought they used to include the Snowys on the Colorado forecast but apparently not.
With as much activity as there is it's too bad there isn't a dedicated forecast. I suppose it's a matter of funding-- maybe some user groups in the area could promote the idea?

I don't think you can get a report for the Snowies, But I recommend finding something for the area because we just got back this weekend and with about 3 to 4 feet of fresh snow we triggered 1 slide, and the group in the cabin next to us triggered a BIG slide. So be careful out there and ride smart.

ya, was up there friday, saw 2 slides and then one huge avy. they have been sliding a lot this year, so just new snow is mainly sliding in the ones we saw.

The closest avalanche center / forcast that I ahve found for the snowy range area is to go to Colorado Avalanche Inforamtion Center (CAIC)
Then go to forcast and check both front range and Steamboat areas .
Not exact but as close to the local weather as is available.
