I have an idea. I don't know if it would work, or if anyone would be interested in participating but I thought I would share and see what you think.
I know Avy packs are expensive. At one time in my life buying one would have been impossible. No shame in not being able to fork out $800.00 to $1,000.00 for a pack.
How many of you may be in a position that if you could sell your current pack for say $300.00 to $400.00 bucks, could or would be willing to do so and upgrade to a new pack. What this would do is allow those of us who can afford to upgrade to get a new pack for $400.00 or $500.00 and provide a way for some of our fellow riders who would not other wise be able to afford one to buy one for $300.00 or $400.00 bucks.
Would a program like this be a benefit to fellow riders? Could it be done without some unnecessary liability being put on the seller?
The pack I currently have is 4 years old and has never been deployed except for the original test. It's not hard to weight the canisters to make sure they are fully charged. I check it a couple times a year. I probably wouldn't spend $1,000.00 to upgrade, but I would spend $400.00 or $500.00 especially if I thought it was going to provide a way for another rider to own one.
Thoughts?
