Wow, unreal... Looks awesome up there, thats for sure. But by the looks of those huge sidehill marks, you couldnt have tried any harder to make that slide?

I spoke with Albrect & Joan today (2/24/08), they are doing good, his upper leg was broke in three places, they are thankfull it wasn't worse and that he wasn't buried. I would like to thank Dave for pulling Albrect down the hill and taking care of him while the others went to call for help, good job bud. My prayers are with ya for a speedy recovery. Bon & I love ya both.---Ken

Looks like he's very lucky to be alive, that is huge climb. I wonder what the avy conditions were at the time of the slide.

Mr. AA/AT lets keep our judgement comments to our selves, and be very thankfull that every one is OK and on the mend, if ya haven't ridden the country, ya don't understand, and for sure ya don't know the people. I ride the country, and I know people--- ya got it pal.---Ken

You should probably know who you're talking to before making a comment like this.

He knows the country, has riden the country, he understands, and has had to dig out a good friend (who survived).

Good for you for knowing people. I've ridden with you a little, and you seem like a good guy. Dont defend unsafe actions, because that is 100% why this happened. They had no business climbing that hill. Look at the pics from the avy report. There is a crown on the right from a previous slide ON THE SAME HILL.

Thanks goodness everyone made it off the mountain alive in this one.

Hopefully we can continue to learn from this year. Too many of these posts. Most could and should have been avoided.
