This is always sad news to hear. We ride that area a lot. Does anyone know where in Indian Creek this happened or if they had avy gear?
There have been quite a few big natural slides in there this year because of the snowpack.
I use google earth quite a bit, and thought it might be helpful to keep track of these slides. It seems like the slides occur a lot in the same areas. If we could find a way to track them, perhaps we could be more aware of the inherent risks that are out there.
I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I hope with this type of information we could avoid some of the risks as we head into the back country.
Indian Creek is always unstable regardless of the time of the year.
OT
^^^^ It's clear you have never been to Indian Creek ^^^^
