I have had a few enquires about putting on an avy course in Whistler. If I can get 8 people that are interested in taking a course I will put one on. I have set aside the evening of Mar 6 which would be classroom and Mar 7 th and 8th which would be field work up on the Icecap. Cost of the course would be 250.00 each + GST. You would be required to buy a trail pass each day for the Rutherford; 10.00 for BCSF member, 15.00 non members or you can join the Pemberton club for 100.00 which includes a season pass. It's who ever is first with their credit card. I have been getting a few PM and phone calls on it so the sooner the better. Those dates don't work for some so if this ones goes well I will consider doing a second course.
From what I see sledders do up on the Icecap their are a lot of you that need to sign up for this. Last week saw a hugh cornice fall that triggered a size 2.5 and 500meters away at the same time guys were jumping a cornice.

Excellent course,excellent instructor,excellent accomodations ON THE MTN,catered and fun,fun,fun.This is a great club with dedicated members. The courses are filling up fast...book now!!!
