Hey Everyone-
Looking to install Beacon Basin at Noblett's tomorrow around 11:00. I could really use a few people to help Grant and I bury the targets. A dozen peeps would make short work of this and it won't take more than about 45 min-1 hr. I'll supply the shovels. Gotta get up early to forecast and crashing in the next little bit, but you can email me at craig@utahavalanchecenter.org if you need to get in touch.
Also... it's super sketchy out there and the current avalanche conditions are quite unusual for Utah. Remember- beacons are only one part of the equation. The big ticket item right now is avoidance. Play on low angle terrain with nothing steep above or adjacent to you. What's tricky right now is, avalanches are being triggered from the bottom of steep terrain and these are unmanageable slides- they're deep, wide and unsurvivable.
For more info go to utahavalanchecenter.org
Please be safe and think about the consequences of your terrain choices.
Hope to see some of you tomorrow.
Cheers.
