Avy beacons

Pieps DSP is the best beacon, IMO. Its not as "easy" to use but its really not that difficult to learn. It has a big range, is great for multiple burials, and has some great features.

Everybody says go with the BCA Tracker, but I have never been impressed. I admit, It is so easy, a caveman could use it....but its not as effective. The range isn't as big as the Pieps and its not very effective for multiple burials.

x2 for Pieps DSP!!!

barryvox pulse. this thing is a champ for multiple burials , you can mark signals as found, switch between signals, and tell exactly how many signals there are. the interface is very intuitive and this this actually points you the right direction..no more walking backwards along the flux curve till you realise you are getting farther away and have to do a 180. this has lots of other great features too, and the software is updateable. plus its made in switzerland...those guys know how to do it over there...ever had a toblerone chocolate bar? nuff said...

as for the tracker, don't bother. Its no easier than any other digital beacon on the market, and it sucks for multiple burials. I had one for two years (still have it as a backup) and my search times for both single and especially muiltple burials went waaay down when i switched to the barryvox.
