Avy beacon?

Im gonna get two this year before my first trip out. One for me and one for anybody that rides w/me that doesnt have one. What do SW'rs recommend? I could read all the promotional crap out there but i want real advice?

I decided to invest in a BCA Tracker... seems easy to use and that is important in a panic situation:D

I have a bca tracker and a pieps dsp. I prefer the pieps dsp. I have used them both in practice situations and I am faster with the pieps every time. Easy to use. triple antenna, multiple bury feature. You really cant go wrong with either one. Just PRACTICE and make sure you know how to use it.

Tracker.

Relatively inexpensive, easy to use. Only thing I don't like about it is the way the harness fits with a tekvest.

I'm now sold on the tracker series but the biggest thing you can do and your buddies need to do is learn how to use them. They aren't that usefull if your group doesn't understand how they work or how to use them. Sure they will let S&R find you but by then it's going to be too late.

I say get the tracker or tracker 2 when it's out, take a class, practice in your yard or where ever you can to learn how they work and make the other guys find them as well. It don't take too much time to learn them really. 10 minutes in a field before riding would do a lot of folks some good.

I worked a season at a ski resort that supplied beacons to all lifty's and patrol. I know how to use them along with the probe. I just wanted solid advice on what works easiest and best.
