AVY Bag set-up WARNING !!

I accidentally triggered my SnowPulse bag yesterday as I loaded it into my truck, and while it was funny It presented an issue I think a lot of us would have.

As you can see in the picture, when deployed,
eek.gif
it rests with considerable pressure against the handle of my shovel. In the event of getting caught in a slide and you deploy your bag, you could puncture the bag if/when you are tumbling. I highly suggest disconnecting the handle and store it in the pouch rather than extended out. Might not be an issue, but we deserve every chance we can if we were to get caught in an Avalanche! Regards, SLIM.

That is what all of us do. Even without the bag deploying, have seen a serious injury from a spill into a tree well and the handle jammed into the base of the neck right under the helmet. Could have been worse. :face-icon-small-fro

Yah thats the first ive seen with the handle still in the shovel.....

also good thing to do if blow the damn thing off and read directions and watch the movie on you tube how to roll the bag back up if you have the horse shoe bag.

i did mine when i had the bottle recall and fack it took a while to figure out. Would suck to do with no clue out on the hill.

The shovel is not meant to have the handle left in it. Some people leave the handle in them though to be able to secure the shovel a little bit better. The correct procedure would be to remove the shovel handle, and if your shovel will not work with that bag, purchase a new shovel that will.

My dozer shovel fits into my float throttle 22.
At first, it didn't fit well, but now it does. Glad for that.

Just shipped my bottle off this afternoon for warranty replacement on the pressure gauge. Looks like I ended up with one of the "recalled" units that had leakage problems.

Good tip for other riders on the shovel handle!!
