Where should I mount the Tstat?


Looks like I'm gonna have to buy some heater hose and mount somewhere out of the way?

Not sure about 2017, we have 2012-2016 bikes with t-stat mounted right above the head with a short hose. Would strongly suggest including another quarter turn valve with bypass on the way to the avid ring to allow you to regulate flow. Plenty of heat but the issue without was overheating carb after stopping, flooding on re-starts was brutal.

17 must tighter there? Could have put it there, but would have been super tight, and have to pull the left radiator to shorten that hose.


Ended up buying two 3/4inch 90 degree hose elbows and moving to side of the head/jug.




Have the valves on hand in my shop, so guess i'll put one on.




Were you flooding with a Lectron?

No, flooding with Smart Carbs after sat a minute before re-start, worth putting a valve on to be safe, just make sure you still have a bypass once you close the valve.
