Avid 3" Driver Install on Rev?

I am working on putting a 162 Maverick track in my 05 Summit. I ordered 7 tooth 3in pitch drivers from Avid. I was given a set of drivers that are suppose to be for a 1 1/8 shaft. I pulled the drive shaft out tonight and it seems like there is no way that the new drivers are going to fit the shaft. Just how tight do they fit on? I measured the drivers that Avid sent me and they measure right at a 1 inch across, my shaft is between a 1 1/16 and 1/ 1/8. If the drivers that I was sent measured 1 1/8 across they would fit loose on the shaft. I just can't imagine that this driver is going to fit on the shaft like this with out cracking.

From what side do you press them on, do you have to remove the bearing off the one end or can you push them both on from the splined end? I can't even get them to start on the splined end, they are that tight? Any trick to doing this, I am only going to get one chance at doing this right?
