What would happen if you ran Aviation fuel in the 1100 turbo ?

Ran it straight all year with no problems with the hj2.0 motor still looks real good

Any benefits to spending more at the pump for the higher octane.

Higher octane fuel in the stock configuration will provide less performance. Unless you are building an engine/turbo setup that NEEDS the higher octane AV or Race fuel, you are only doing yourself a disservice and reducing your performance.

Any benefits to spending more at the pump for the higher octane.

Should be good for roughly 20 horse over pump fuel on a hj. I never seen my octane light flash. Ran around 24 lbs of boost with av maybe 18 lbs without

I ran my Hijacker up to 21lbs on straight AV without the octane light going off. If you're running a stock set up you're throwing your money away by running AV.

Ran all last year and 4 years before on my TApex at 300+. Zero issues.
