Curious to see how people like the avi vest? I have a float 32 last year and just couldn't get used to the pack being on my back and ended up selling it. I like the looks of the avi vest, looks like it would spread the weight out a little better. Have been looking at the snow pulse and wary.. TIA

I have two buddies who HATE packs for whatever reason, but wear the avi vest. I'd say it's worth a try for sure. They both say it's much more like wearing a tekvest than a pack

I've had the Impact version for a few seasons and I like it - has more storage than you would think and distributes the weight well. The new version with the zipper in front looks way better because mine has the side entry and is a PITA to take on and off.

I have the wary avi vest and love it. I had two different abs backpacks prior and prefer the vest. It distributes the weight way better. I also found out, that it wasn't as hot I thought it would be, in spring riding conditions.

Had a BCA and hated it, felt like a turtle with it on. I now have the newest version of the WARY Avi vest and love it. Its a little colder then my tek vest but not a big deal.

I have the newest version of the Wary Avivest also and love it. I however took the cheap little "armor" plates out of the vest and still wear it with my tekvest. Very comfortable and protected better.
I wear Klim aggressor or jersey depending on temps, then tekvest, then Klim powerxross pullover and Avivest. Put your beacon in the chest pocket and connect the tether.

Best setup I've found so far.

however, i wanted to get rid of all the layers - so i had a buddy who makes protective gear for rodeo use make me some WAY better armor plates, took out the little thin ones that come with the vest, and put in those. now i dont need my tek vest anymore!

Wore one for the first half of the season. I am fairly short and it sat too low on my back, also was too restrictive. I prefer the backpack.

Agreed on the Wary Avi vest, it sat low and rode on top of my butt. Sold it after trying on a snowpulse highmarkvest. I'm liking it a lot better but it seemed as if the Wary had more bulk storage.

BUT:
Wary's also got pockets for inside storage of your probe and shovel and from what I remember, larger front pockets.

Had to buy a new shorter sectioned probe to fit the pulse.
The pulse has got chest protection pockets. I don't remember what the Wary had.
