Avalanche Classes in Laramie

Snowy Range Snowmobile Club is working with Mike Duffy again this year to host Avalanche Awareness and Rescue training. There will be two dates for the classes Jan 6th and Feb. 17th . Right now we are accepting registration for the January 6th class. www.srscwy.com/AvyClassJan0611.htm

Also there will be two field session offered January 7th and most likly again February 18th. We will open those sessions to S.R.S.C members first but do anticipate there will be some openings left. www.srscwy.com/AvyClassJan0711.htm

There is a classroom session Thursday the 6th http://www.srscwy.com/AvyClassJan0611.htm, and 2 sessions of Field work on Friday the 7th http://www.srscwy.com/AvyClassJan0711.htm

You must have taken the classroom session from Mike previously in order to take the Field session. There is a limit to the field session to 10 per session with access opening to non-club members soon.

Is there plans for a sat or sun class on the hill?

No unfortunatly not, the Forest Service would not issue Mike a permit for any days other than week days from my understanding.
