Avalanche Awareness Classes

Payette Avalanche Center has put together a class, Backcountry Basics, especially for snowmobilers. 4 hours in the field starting at 9 AM at Upper Elevation (Titus) Parking Lot and finishing by 1 PM to give you plenty of time to ride.

January 5th - Backcountry Basics - 9 AM at the Upper Elevation (Titus) Lot near Brundage mountain. Class is full.
January 18/19 Avalanche Awareness - Classroom McCall Smoke Jumper Base 6 PM, 1/19 Upper Elevation (Titus) Parking Lot
Jan 25/26 Avalanche Awareness with PAC and IDPR, 7 PM Valley County Sheriffs Rec Building, Saturday 8 AM Anderson Creek Parking Lot
Feb 2 Avalanche Awareness Field Session with PAC and IDPR 9 AM Whoop Em Up Lot (near Moores Creek Summit) Participants must attend a classroom session prior to the field session.
Feb 16 - Backcountry Basics - 9 AM at the Upper Elevation (Titus) Parking Lot near Brundage.
March 2 - Backcountry Basics - 9 AM at the Upper Elevation (Titus) Parkingn Lot near Brundage.
