Anyone have experience shipping a car cross country (Ohio to Idaho)?

Bigger the town/city the cheaper it is. SHOP around prices vary constantly.
U Ship is good way to price shop...insure $$$

I had a 69 Z28 shipped from Nebraska to Utah for $1.00 per mile. Carriers name was "Reliable Carriers". Everything went perfect.

I have used reliable carriers also

they shipped a lifted pickup from missouri to oregon for me, it cost about $900, there are transportation companies who will negotiate a price, if u say you want to pay $750, they will put it on a brokerage line, it may sit there for 2-4 weeks until a trucker picks up the load, but if you aren't in a hurry you can get a better deal trough a shipping broker.

Be careful looking online. If you get a "quote" from them they throw all your contact information out to all these sleazy fawks that call you nonstop. The transport business is cutthroat and the brokers will tell you anything they think you'll believe just to get your $1

Bruce,

I want to see a picture of that dashboard showing the speedo needle bent beyond 200MPH!

Maybe best to let the passenger take the pic though.

Haven't done it myself, but I know a bit about how it works (my wife used to work with an auto shipper). If you're willing to send it the basic way (I wouldn't be), you can probably find someone to do it for around $1,000. For a car like that, I'd want to use an enclosed carrier since it offers more protection, though it will likely cost a little more. A1autotransport is one company I'm aware of that ships from coast to coast, though there are undoubtedly several others as well. It's definitely worth your time to call around & compare some prices.

My niece is in the Navy. I need to get her vehicle back to her. Seattle to Norfolk Virginia.

Anybody have any idea on what this might cost?
