August Rain

Can't remember in a long time when it has rained this much in August. Thinking this is a great help to the winter to come.
Rain cools and saturates the ground so the snow can stick better when it starts to fall.
Any thoughts on this, on big snow years has August rains been good for the winters?
Praying for cooler weather and fall to arrive with winter not to far behind.:yield:

Yikes and I was just asking if the rain helps.
Snow is even better, Tip and Unita's look like late September.

As long as I'm not having to water my lawn or run my AC it's as good as August can get. Not sure it cools the ground much but it certainly helps the water situation come spring runoff, still need to see how September pans out but soil moisture is looking pretty great as of now.

This has been the most unusual august I ever remember here in utah. It never rains in august like this or is this cool. It isn't unusual to get a dusting of snow in the high mountains in late august. I hope all this water and cold weather means a early and wet winter.
