Atwood Furnace Mounting

Whats the best place to install this furnace? I was thinking in the v of the trailer, but wondering how it would work with the intake exhaust on the passenger side of the v. Also i see lots mount them on the side and elbow out the intake/exhaust...anyone have some pictures?

I think you are good anywhere, that being said I installed my furnace and had the exhaust vent next to the man door. It was fine until I put an awning on there. Fail.

Mine is mounted just rearward of the "V" on the passenger side, up high, close to the ceiing. Never had any issues with it there and the trailer is now 15 years old. Runs just fine even while driving. I would definitely do it again the same way.

So this is the furnace is Atwood model afmd35121. Can't seem to find the manual. I assume that it can be mounted on its side.

That looks really similar to mine (without comparing nameplate data). Mine is mounted just like it is sitting on the table in the photo.
