Does anybody have experience installing this furnace or similar under the floor of your trailer?

Also wondering if it is possible to mount it on it's end so the intake/exhaust vent is down through the floor and the heated air comes out the top.

Any pics, thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I've been reading through the old sites trailer heater threads and Transporter asked this same question, can't seem to find the answer. Would sure save some headaches if possible.

NO intake/exhaust must vent through the wall must be horizontal
to keep the fumes from returning threw the intake

E-mail Attwood support but I am sure :)that model has to be mounted Horizonaly.

I am in the process of installing a Rv Heater in my trailer as well. I have copies of some of the old threads pics if you need them let me know.

None of them show one mounted under the trailer.:):beer;

You certainly could run your vent runs under the floor, but I've only known of one person who has done that. I've mounted three Atwood's on thier side though (with minor mods) and it work awesome. Less intrusion in the trailer. Also helps to keep the vent feeds low, as they get HOT. Why not benefit from the radiant heat off them...

I mounted mine flat on the wall but vented with a 90 degree elbow out the side of trailer.When I first mounted it the exhaust was going to come off the bottom and then 90 out of the trailer but the fan in the furnace has to be positioned a certain way to run smoothly check your manual on ok positions.

I have mine mounted underneath my trailer, and just have the air intakes and heated returns running up thru the floor. Both the air for the combustion and the exhaust come from under the trailer. It works very well. The furnace is mounted inside a metal box that was fabbed up to protect the furnace from road debris. I have my tanks mounted on the tongue, which I extended 4'. And I have a thermostat on the wall inside. The whole system works very well and will have you sweating in 5 minutes.

Can you post some pictures?

Exhaust must vent out side, you can mount it on side or flat but exhaust straight out side not through floor. you can run your vent under floor and back up and then spray foam to insulate and protect them. make sure you use enough vents probably 3.

Jeff, I haven't been able to figure out how to post pics. Not the most computer savvy, but I could email some to you next week, I'm at work till Mon. Hit me with a PM.
