Attitude Power Gremlin

I have a 2010 Cat Twisted RG M8 with Attitude box. Currently running 9lb.
I was out last week and one time when I started the sled the box didn't power up. I shut down then restarted and then it booted up properly. I thought it was odd, but since it was working again I rode the sled and it worked fine. Then maybe an hour later as I was boondocking the unit started to run poorly. I glanced down and saw the box was off again. I immediately shut down and spent the next hour trying to get the box to light up. I traced wiring and cut away heat shields etc. but never found a problem. Of coarse with all the fiddling with the wires it now works - sledded the rest of the day with no issue.
Any suggestions as to why this happened and how to cure it from happening again. Last thing I want to do is get pulling hard and it fail on me again, or get into a place where it has failed and cant limp out due to difficult terrain.

Any help would be appreciated.

I will check grounds.

No there shouldnt of been any water into the unit. Just usual riding in semi-powder the day before - no snow buildup inside the hood. Stored in a heated trailer over night. The same thing we would do every trip.

It ran fine to the cabin, problem started maybe 3rd startup of the day.

thanks for the input.

Check obvious areas that attitude harness rubs, the ground at bulkhead near turbo. If no luck I would remove entire attitude box and wiring and check to see if a wire got rubbed through.

Sounds like a ground or more likely water in a conection. You ran in fowder then put it in a heated trailer. I'll bet there was dew on everything by midnight. dielectric grease your conections after drying them.
