Attack 20 Question

My buddies Attack 20 track is showing blistering on the outer edges of the track. You can also see where the little circles on the outer edge are actually popping out. He was told by the dealer that this was normal with these tracks. Anybody else see this or no the cause?

It's on a 2005 M6 141, he only has 1200 miles on the track.

Hopefully the pictures uploaded.

Thanks for any input

I had a 141 attack 20 on my 2006 M5 and i ended up straightening the paddles half way through my first season with it. It held up 1300 miles for me with no other problems. But i updated this year to a 153 mavrick.

The blistering is caused by the idler wheels icing up and locking, usually over night after a days ride. Ice forms between the wheels and the rear drop bracket at the tunnel.

You should kick this ice out before or after every ride or you get this blistering on the track.

Exactly!! friction = hot = blistering

Although I have seen this when riding low snow conditions as well, not the idlers locking up.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Yes we live in Michigan but we don't ride trails so staying off the trails isn't the solution. Thanks for the input ACMtnCat, we'll check for the ice buildup. He's also going to put a two wheel kit under it which should help the issue also.
