Im thinking about trading in my verizon black berry for an AT&T iphone.... Whats the service like in Utah? Problems concerns I should know about and anyone with an iphone that doesnt like it should post! Thanks

iPhone is an amazing phone.......they will definitely charge you for it though. AT&T has the most expensive data plan you can get of the carriers. You are forced to get it with the iPhone.

Verizon is suspected to be the first CDMA carrier to get the iPhone after contract release from AT&T.

You will notice a definite drop in call reception from Verizon to AT&T.....especially in Utah.

I would recommend 2 options for you-
1. Stick with Verizon and wait to see in the next 6 months what will happen with the iPhone after the exclusivity with AT&T expires.

2. If you have to have an iPhone.....buy a jailbroken one off of ebay or from someone local and sign up with T-Mobile.

AT&T sucks!!! My coworkers and I travel to Vernal every now and then. I have a verizon BB and they have the iphone. They can't make or recieve or even get a data plan to work in Vernal while I usually have full bars with my verizon phone. AT&T is only good if you never plan on leaving a metro area (like if you lived on the east coast). For the west where we have long drives with very rural areas between our cities, their service is CRAP! If you do switch to iphone, you'll have a bad *** phone but won't be able to use it. I think Verizon is going to make a run at the iphone later this year.....just be patient.

thanks guys for the input... ill stick with a new black berry for now and wait it out. All the guys I work with (south of the boarder type) all have iphones and thought why not but I dont want to give up my reception, mines bad enough

Verizon by far has the best out of area coverage. It's the only service that works at my cabin and I usually have good reception while riding once I hit the high spots. I also use their wireless USB internet from the cabin.:face-icon-small-win

Not sure what your looking for with the Iphone but I just bought the Droid Incredible from verizon. Its taken me a couple days to figure it out but I really like it. As far as service, I would have to agree with what was said above.

HTC Evo and Android Incredible... both phones are way better than the iphone. And you can get good free apps, always a plus. The evo is set for release this summer...

Now you've done it phatty.........now here comes the iPhone parade! ~No phone in the history of mankind will EVER be an iPhone......:hurt:~

I-phone is an awesome phone, but I'd never own it because of AT&T's service. I own the Motorolla Droid now with Verizon, and it does everything the I-phone does, and I can use it when I'm not in the city.

I went on a cruise last year, and Verizon was the only company with service. We were in the middle of the Pacific ocean, and I could still make calls.

The contract with Iphone/AT&T ends the end of June this year, and I've heard Verizon will be getting the I-phone. I really like the Android operating system though. You might wanna give it a try. If you like google, you'll love it. The free gps is worth the phone by itself.
