assault won't start

Tried to to start are 2010 assaults today, one fires right up no problems, the other won't run. I has good spark, but seems to have no fuel. I pour gas into the cylinders and it runs for a second and dies, I've done this at least 20 times! The fuel tank was very low, so I added 2 gallons. I was thinking there was air in the system, so I tried to bleed it out of the schrader valve. with no luck. My dealer is 50 miles away and any help would be appreciated.

I throw 12 volts to the fuel pump, that will prime it. Then if no go, I'd check fuel filter for flow.

I have found a few times that if the sled is to low on fuel, it won't run worth beans, (or at all) Until you fill the tank at least half. It has always fired up third or fourth pull after that. So could be as simple as not having enough fuel in the tank for it to properly prime it self.

try this...shut off the key and kill switch....pull the sled over 5-6 times like you are trying to start it..then flip the key and the kill switch to the on positions..then start it..the capacitor will sometimes discharge itself..sled wont start until it gets recharged...which shutting off the key and kill switch and pulling it over does....have seen this a couple dozen times since 08 when my sons 600 cfi did it when we took a rest break...

If he can start it after pouring fuel in the plug hole, then his elect. is working. Sounds like the fuel line. Maybe the filter as someone said. Swap it with the one on the other Assault.

don't mean to sound like a smart *** but is the key turned on and the kill switch pulled up?

try what i said...it works...

If you have "no joy" there...but still hear the fuel pump running when you prime... then pull the oulet end of the fuel filter off, put it into a safe catch bottle and see if you get fuel out using the prime method.... If not... drain pull the console off... remove the pump flange assemby (PFA) and see if the hoses and pickups are in good shape.

If the pump is not running.. you could have a pump that went bad.

Aways use safe practices when handling gasoline.

There is a plug buried in the left cheek of the sled or you can just unplug the connector that is @ 6" from the fuel pump assy.

Easy way to check for a clogged fuel filter is to remove it, let the fuel drain out and blow through it. Mine was fine but the one on my wife's 08 700 was pretty clogged, very little air coming out the other end.

I found it !

I had just about given up, having tried every suggestion posted here (thanks guys) with no luck. My last guess was to disconnect the powercommander and..... it runs! Swaped it onto the other assault, same issue if you can get it started it runs for a second then dies. Any one else have PC5 issues like this?
