assault with long track conv. 163

Hey there, looking at getting a sled form a current member, just want to form my own opinions on this whole idea. It is an 09 assault with a 163 track done via ice age flat rails. I am not 100% certain of the reason for this, seems to be easier to just buy a dragon. I do like the fact that it has the 800 fix kit done, and the potentially better shocks.

It seems to me that the rear suspension geometry would now be messed up, maybe clutches need switched for something else etc. Any other things that doing this type of conversion would alter?

The current owner seems very knowledgable and in tune with the machine so I am sure the whole package works, but does it work as good as a dragon? What do you think?

Also why are the assaults so much heavier than the dragons, even being shorter?

Thanks

I have an 09 assault thats been converted to a 155 dragon skid and track. Really I think the only thing you will notice is the wider front end. Put a dragon front end on and you pretty much just made yourself a dragon with better shocks.

I had a 2009 that I stretched to 155" as well. No tunnel extension needed.

Ended up upgrading the front shocks to raptors. Back End still oem shocks
