Just wondering what the deal is, know I saw somthing in the extra insert after the update this fall. The sled rocked for the first 200 or so miles now it flashed in several differnt throtle positions. First held it down on a long strait strech and it bliped, then it went away for a while it seamed to come back in low to midrange. One time had to lock up the brake and the cluch didnt back shift fast enough and it realy didnt like that at all. rideable yes but why did it get weird and lose all its grunt. Any one else had simler experinces or have some imput thanks.

Join the club, mine has done this several times on the last 2 rides. It's been at the dealer for the last 6 days now. The latest flash is horrible along with the fact it's some how creating alot of heat within the engine. "09 - '10 goes down as the worst sledding season ever for me. I think between the dealer and Poo they don't have a clue.

If you haven't had it reflashed since this fall then you need to get it back in to the dealer to get it flashed again. The first flash had issues with the DET sensor being way to sensitive. I believe they also have pulled a little fuel out of the bottom of the fuel curve. Kurts polaris here in missoula have these 800's running quite well.:face-icon-small-coo

Mine did this a few weeks ago and I got the re-flash. It run's much better, but I ordered the Power Comander 5 (PCv) from Dynotec Research. Cheep insurance for your engine with some performance gains. Can't wait to try it.

My 08 ran great for the first few rides after the update, (SLP stage 3, wires unplugged) but was way to lean for my comfort. I broke the scratchers one day and the coolant temps on the trail were going as high as 170. I installed a PC111 with Dynotech Jim's map and the results are awsome. I can tell by the sound of the pipe and plug readings that the sled is in a much safer state of tune. Ran the trail with no scratchers and the coolant temp never got above 130.

At the start of last weekend it went like it should liffting the skis know its stedaly been going down how many reflashes will it take?? Iv herd mixed reveiws on the latest flash?

$369 from Dynotecjim. Read the reviews on here, it comes with his map and a years subscription to his website. (dynotec reaserch inc.)

I bet you a $1 that your pistons are scored...Take it to the dealer.

Usual if you are around 125 psi you are good...but i am not sure on the new engines...

my assault had the latest flash done on thursday and ran great for the 1st 150 or so miles and then the "check engine" light came on and was flashing 5 times. took it to the dealer and they said it could have been because of bad fuel. i doubt that because i run nothing but 91 non oxy in it and have never had a problem. they reset it so the check engine light went off and less then 10 miles down the trail it comes back on again. this is really making me mad, the sled runs just fine but i would like to know what is causing it to go on? any ideas?
