Assault specs

I am trying to get clarification on the 2017 assault specs. I am wondering if there was some errors in the literature Christopher posted. Can anyone clarify:

1. does the 2017 have a bulkhead cooler?
2. Does the 2017 have a carbon fiber over structure or the aluminum?
3. is the chassis the same as the pro other than the wide front end?
4. can a sway bar be added if i were to run a narrow set of arms that have sway bar mounts?

i am debating between the assault and sks. i like the assault for the more robustness of it and the needle shocks, but i like the sks for the bulkhead cooler.
if the assault has a bulkhead cooler and aluminum over structure, i will probably go with it

No bulkhead cooler (only available on the SKS)

AXYS RMK-Assault Has CF over-structure

There are some small differences in brackets on the assault compared to the ProRmk AXYS.

I just confirmed with the factory...The SKS is the only one that has the Bulkhead cooler... The 2017 RMK Assault does not have a bulkhead cooler....Same as the 2016 which did not also.

Sometimes there is a misprint in the press kits.... Which seems to be the case here.

assault sway bar

The 2011-15 pro sway bar fits on the 2016 axys assault.
I am running one on my 2016 assault. 2016 axys pro sway bar does not fit 2016 axys assault. too short

No, it comes with scratchers instead like the Pro's do. Honestly the front cooler is not needed unless going to trail ride on hard pack often. With the scratchers down my Pro stays right at 126F.

my concern is slow speed, poking around trees, with no powder, warm ambient air temps. like spring riding conditions

Mine came with the extra wheels and scratchers. Agree on the cooler...scratchers do the job.

Too bad the RMK Assault doesn't have the cooler. I bet they would sell a ton if they did.

On in the wanted a front cooler crowd but a wide front .. Still don't see the Michigan sled the taunted the SKS to be ..

But it's the only one offered in the Full Atomic Pumpkin color scheme and chain case to gear up.

But it only is offered in one length at 155 ..

I still think the Bracing, Wide front and Color option will put my order in for a Assault

Only draw backs are No front Cooler and Higher approach angle ..

I still have a 11-15 Sway Bar so I'm set there and only ride on snow ( not ice or dry conditions). Not only does it run you hot and no Lube but it is horrible on Suspension parts like pivot points and bushings.

Does anyone know if the Switchback assault comes with carbon fiber overstructure if its snowchecked? I saw one here at the dealer and its aluminum. I know that last year only snowchecked models came that way. Wondering if its the same for next year?

my 2015 never had an issue slow speed poking around in the woods so I m hoping the 2017 is the same
