assault aftermarket a-arms

hit a rock under the snow in cooke city last week, and destroyed the upper and lower a arm,and shock shaft. Was considering stronger a arms, but now I'm not so sure. With everything that is wrecked the front bulkhead looks good,no damage. So the question I have is,would stronger a arms transfer more force to the bulkhead, thus more likely to wreck it also?It seems the polaris a arms take the hit, bend, but save the main structure.Does anyone have experience with this?If you have first hand experience,I feel your pain, and maybe you could help the rest of us out. It's not the first rock I ever hit and it probably won't be the last.

You are on the right track, the a-arms are sacrificial at 89.00 to 160.00 USD a pop. I went through four last year, in the family. $ 640.00!!!

I built these A-arm skid plates. They have a ton of witness marks on the bottom, showing they have done their job.

UHMW "Plastic" with hose clamps, all spare stuff in the garage.

I ride with AKSNOWRIDER and he swears by the holz arms he now has on his Dragon. They are stronger than the stockers, yet will still give out before doing any damge to the bulkhead. Shoot him a pm and ask him about them.

Any one else have experience with aftermarket a arms and wrecking?

I figured everyone has. I've gone through about five different a-arms bending or breaking. I bought the Holz front kit and have had good luck with it. I have two or three stock a-arms that are not bent right now. Maybe I should sell them
