Assault 144???

Hi! I am new to this sight and first off want to say thanks for all the great info! I am in the process of snow checking a new sled and was really looking at the 144 assault. I ride a fair amount on trail in Michigan but also spend 2 weeks a year in the bighorns. My question is, do you feel the 144" track would be the way to go for Wyoming? I have trail ridden them and they work good but wondering if it is too short for the mountains? Last few times to wyoming, we have rented pro 155's but those are too long for Michigan. If I go with the 144" I was thinking of doing a trail track and a mountain track. Any info/opinions are greatly appreciated.
Ps. I currently own 2 rev 800 121" which are wayyyyyy to short:face-icon-small-con

I've rode a 144 2" in MN for a few years and it worked fine both in MN and in the mountains. However, will say that it pushes a little bit on the trail. If I were you, I'd take a look at the Assault with the 2" paddle. It should work fine.

Are you keeping your rev? If so, order a pro rmk 155. I'm going with the Pro 155. I get out west 3-4 times a year and the only riding I do in MN is ditch banging. If it doesn't work I'll get an assault switchback in 2013.

It does fairly well out in the mountains. obviously its not a 155 RMK but it still is very capable. I could go everywhere my dad's 155 RMK could, it just took me longer and more work to get there. It is definitely a sweet crossover sled... with the lack of trail riding i'm doing these days i'm looking to get rid of my sb assault and get a 155 RMK... if you're interested let me know... You won't be disappointed with a SB Assault though, its a great all around sled
