artic cat svx 450 40 hours timbersled front end with trio

Dang that's cheap. I wish there were other real purpose built snow bikes like that available. We could have 4 brands to choose from blue red green and orange. Im dreaming again.
The sherco does the job and I helped rebuild one that was burning oil, it seems well made and parts only took a few weeks.

I Picked up the used one. The guy had 4 snow bikes and was very knowledgeable. He had all the updates done to the camso to bring it to 2019 specs, ktm forks (he said the sherco or cat ones were no good), timbersled trio, stock ski, bar heater kit off radiator, gas can, tunnel pack, maybe 30-40 hrs on bike. In his review he said the sherco 450 does not have the top end that the ktms have but pulls down low good. Also he is running the cmx ski on all 3 of his other snow bikes which consisted of a new yeti 129, new timbersled aro 129 and a new 120 cmx all on 450 ktms. He had a pile of yeti skis in the corner with a disgusted look on his face. He said hands down cmx has the ski figured out.

Why do those new SVXs seem like a great deal?
I didn't know they were ever produced for retail sales, but a brand new 450 with a Camso kit for $6100 sounds like a deal...

Edit, they're not svx for sale at that place but actual factory Shercos with camso kits addded?
Still seems like a deal. Roughly $4k for a new 450?

You are getting a lot less than a dirt bike. There are no wheels, tires, rear suspension, swingarm, brakes etc etc. They are cheap to build. If you bought a 450 brand new and sold all that stuff it would be close cost wise.
