A chance at the next election? Slim, because most Americans only consider the two major parties (which are mostly one in the same), but as more and more people get fed up with this government that's spiraling out of control, they discover the Campaign for Liberty and it grows in number and strength every day. The Campaign for Liberty is the campaign for the libertarian party which has been around for years, so this is nothing new.

Ron Paul, the head of Campaign for Liberty, is actually a Congressman, so this isn't a backwoods organization.

umm beg to differ somewhat

The money isn't there nor is the media support. It's unfortunate but you gotta have lotsa $ to get noticed. I don't doubt the popularity of some new 3rd party rock star but it won't be Ron Paul.

I go back to Ross Perot, he was self funded and there for ahwile it looked as if he was going all the way, that is until he back off and withdrew his name. He obviously didn't want the job, but did a dang fine job of getting his message out. But how many folks remember him now?


If he were elected what good would it do? He'd be a lame duck by default. Kinda Ironc that BHO was suppost to be some great "unifier" but Ron Paul would unify the parties better than BHO....but they'd unify in destroying him and his party.

No, we need to start from the bottom up. The top down approach isn't going to work in this case. (or a big SHTF reset button)


Only way I see a "fix" is a total collapse, and I think its on our doorstep.

I agree with Ollie, if he wants to do it he has to really start now. In comparison Bo started almost a year ago. We can't have three people running or Bo will be back in and that is totally unacceptable. I like what Ron Paul stands for, but he would have to get on it. I am more Libertarian than Republican but they have run some awful kooks in the past.

Tried that.
In Colorado we passed term limits for our senators and congressman.
The major parties took it to the US Supreme court and got it tossed.
Said we can't do it.
