THE TWELVE STEPS OF SNOWMOBILE ANONYMOUS

1. We admitted we were powerless over two-strokes—that our lives had become unmanageable.

2. Came to believe that more power in our snowmobiles could not restore us to sanity.

3. Made a decision to leave our sleds stock. They are more reliable when left as we purchased them.

4. Grew tired of searching endlessly on EBay for performance upgrades.

5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our need for speed.

6. Were entirely ready to remove all aftermarket parts.

7. Humbly asked the dealer to reset our rev limiters.

8. Made a list of all persons we had harassed, and became willing to be less competitive.

9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when their injuries were really, really funny.

10. Continued to take inventory of performance upgrades and, when they failed to work as advertised, promptly admitted it.

11. Sought through prayer and meditation to be satisfied with our snowmobiles, as we purchased them, praying only for good snow and enough power to keep from getting stuck.

12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these Steps, we tried to carry this message to other snowmobilers, and to practice these principles when ever we ride.

LMAO
Just sold 2000 Tcat with 8k in upgrades and a 60 shot of NOS now ride a bone stock M8 162 snopro and ya basically(save the set rev limiter) all of what you said above. Just didn't think there was another person on the planet that ever thought it.

"unmanageable"

That our lives are "unmanageable" is the understatement of the year. It's more like they are out of control, spinning faster then the ported track on a boosted 1200. ( Ain't it great)!!!

Example number one:
I bought the heaviest production sled ever made. 1996 V-Max 4 MountainMax. I decided i need to put a 151 x 16 new suspension, hydraulic breaks, quad pipes, plus thousands I can't remember. I took it to the mountains three times, unloaded it once, and road to the cabin - back to the trailer. For a total of 7 miles. But it's the best looking 96' V-Max 4 out there.

yes I'm addicted

My Xlt already had SLP pipes on it when I bought it, so that kinda blows # 3 out of the water.

As for shopping on E-bay, the only limiting factor is coin in the pocket. I'm flat broke and on medical leave from work but that doesn't stop me from clicking the "Polaris" link on my list of favorite E-by searches. In fact, I've only looked at parts once today, I think I'll jump over there right now and take a look...

The T-cat I just sold had the following list of aftermarket parts on it:
CTI A-Arms, Marvin Shaw billet shocks, D&D triples and can, RK Tek torque brackets, Boyeseen reed, K&N filters, BOSS NOS 60 shot, ATACC, VE tunnel ext and U-cooler, Holz rear skid 162, 162x16x2.25 Maverick track, Boss seat, 06 M bars with Rox 5" riser, Digitron DT54SN gauge, with Jack shaft sensor. Cutler clutch set up. 7 tooth 3" pitch extros.

Oddly enough I am having just as much fun on my stock M8 as I had on my mod.

I must admit there are some things I would like to add / change on my new sled but will try real hard to leave it stock for at least one year. LOL
