Are all Boondocker turbo's the same?

I picked up a 700 dragon w/ a Boondocker race turbo - and intercooler I think. It has the boost control with it, but all i can get out of it is 6 lbs of boost. Are both the PG & RG setups using the same turbo/ compressor ??? Even when i disconected the waste gate control - 6 lbs. I pulled out the 74grm weights and went to 68's trying to get the R's above 8000 but no luck yet. Ill try a straight 48 helix. Will that help load the motor to build more exhast gasses ?? Been running straight 110 but I think Ill try 50/50 mix till I get it above 10 lbs

If that is all you can get even with the waste gate actuator unplugged then you have some issues. You either have an exhaust leak, boost leak, or a problem with the turbo. Most of the boodocker kits use a Garret 2860rs turbo. I would check your actuator arm adjustment to make sure that the valve is closed. Ther was a nother post on here regarding the valve hanging open and how to fix it.

i had that problem when my intercooler slid off my throttle body just enought to leak boost past. still built boost just not as much as before and still ran "ok"

i think you are referring to the plate that reinforces the throttle body boots. yes it is a wise investment it will make your boots last longer from what i am told. i didnt get many miles on mine and i went to billet boots

Definitely sounds like a pressure leak. Check the TB boots (will have to pull them off to reall be able to tell since they delaminate and look fine still). Check all your exhaust donut seals and springs. I also split the pipe seam on my 700 at 13 PSI last year. It was a pain to find because it was under the stock heat shield and fiberglass blanket. I wouldn't bother messing w/anything else until you go through your pressure system
