When are we going to see this!?!? Cat has on there site winter of 17 is that going to be Jan or next Nov.... Any dealers have a lil more insite on it?? There isnt much info on them not even at haydays no price or anything yet. Looking at getting one or building something eles but time is starting to run out winter is coming!!! Figured they wouldve released them at hayday like they always do.

They are going to be available in VERY limited numbers. This will be a demo/test year for this unit. The last I heard most dealers will only get 1 or 2.

If you are looking to ride something this winter, I would recommend that you start moving toward one of the other brands that are available today. The Arctic Cat version should be a viable option for the 2017-2018 season. Let them work the bugs out while you are riding a proven platform.

Why bother stressing and waiting, I mean, I do see you name may suggest some brand loyalty to cat;)

But seriously, get the same kit from Camso, and strap it on just about any moto bike on the market and go shred, and have basically the same setup. Or better yet, get a TS, CMX, Yeti, Mototrax and get proven performance from a product that has been on the snow! No waiting around for cat to finish this half assed project, go enjoy your winter!

I heard a rumor about a new bike Yamaha might be building as maybe a 2018 model. I'm really hoping Cat ends up with it for their starting platform and would explain the delay. That's all I'm going to say without more credible info though. They're sure missing the boat in the meantime though.

Don't know on pricing.....I heard rumors of it being around $11K, which I don't see how that could happen....but OK.

I don't see Yamaha building a dedicated snow bike. Think about the big picture. They are all tooled up to build probably 15 different ATVs that they have discontinued that would outsell a snowbike 10 to 1 without any additional development. I love this sport, but I know the Japanese and they are not risk takers.

I thought it was stupid last year when they didn't put it out given all the mfgs involved now. Now they're sitting on something this easy this year too? Cat is p!ssing in the wind when they could be cashing in on a lot of snobike newbs that aren't willing to bolt their own parts together.

It just tells me they don't have it figured out or running on par with the competition..... We will see... Competition is good,,, especially if it is really at the price point..

Articjunkie is from MN so likely trying to buy a machine that is a snowbike from the factory so it is legal on the trails. The kits, that convert a dirtbike, are not at this time and can't be legally ridden. The artic cat would be legal since it is a factory tracked machine and not a kit.

That would make sense..

cat is battling the MN laws on emissions and noise with their "factory snowbike". That is why we haven't seen it hit the market yet from what I understand. They want it to be trail legal in MN which isn't as simple as just putting together a Sherco bike and camso kit and pushing it out the door. I'm afraid the technicalities of liberal Minnesota law is what's holding up progress. Lived here all my life and this state is full of fun hating hippies.
