Trying to find information on a performance modification for the primary clutch on my M-7. Does anyone know the specs used for machining out the spring cup on the spider? I've done everything else possible on both clutches. Just looking for that little bit extra. ?

I usually just take 1/8th " all around in the spider and end cap with a set of glide washers and thunder ABC kit

Go to ACE Hardware and pick up at set of nylon washers for spring to contact on each end of clutch. Used this method for 10 years with no problems.

Sounds like a really good idea. In reality, this would allow the spring to basically turn while being loaded and unloaded with less restriction. Do you notice big improvements in clutch performance?
