2004 1m 900 would not pull more than 7200 last couple of rides.

Today I found my pto side apv cable was broken right at the valve???? Now I can't get the valve out???? WTF??

Anybody got some insight???

What kind of oil are you running? Get some penetrating oil and spray in there. Let her soak for a while and then try to get it out. Maybe a slide hammer? You did take the 2 bolts out right? Better clean them more often !

yeah no doubt, they should slide right out, theres two allen bolts that rixster is talking about

I removed the bolts and sprayed some penetrating oil last night, hopefully things will go better today.

The Mag side slid right out no issues and was pretty clean.

I hope it is gummed due to the cable breaking.

Any chance the valve could drop to far into the cylinder if the cable breaks??

Using cat apv oil, have maybe 1000 km on it since total rebuild.

I had one not working for about 200 miles. It was pretty stuck. Not stuck like I couldnt get it out. But it was sticky. I am guessing that if ther arnt moved they stick pretty fast. Plus you get carbon building up on them and glueing them in even more.

found the issue...

when I took the valve cover off I found the retaining screws had loosened off and fell out. this allowed the valve to bounce around and deformed the opening, there is no way the gilletine is coming out. i find it odd that the opening got smaller????

I guess it's new cylinder time:face-icon-small-dis
