April marble mt snopark ... crevices/slides/avies

Lots of slides at st helens so be really careful tomorrow playing and side hilling the canyons.The cornices were starting to fall off when it warmed up.
Slushy snow at pine creek up to slide then the plains were pretty crusty but softened up.
Lahar has big slides all the way across
All the canyons have slides in them.
Be careful tomorrow as it'll warm up and the cornices will drop if you do side hills.
Did a few and when looked back it was sliding behind my tracks.
Thanks to the Poo and Doo guys who watched out for me me during a couple climbs.Didn't ask them too but they did on there own as I was alone.Really appreciate you waiting until Got down before you left.Really great guys to watch out for you. Didn't leave me hanging on the mountain.
Trails are starting to get beat up cougar side was less used.Will be all whooped out tomorrow.Dropped my air pressure way down to make it cush!

Yah I've never seen it like that in 10 yrs.Theres always slides but not every canyon.Made the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
Just want to make sure every one knows how tomorrow will be.Weather woman says sun and around 60 so soft wet snow and falling cornices.
Pine creek up high is going to be really dangerous.The big slides already happened but those crevices can get you also. Just be careful.Better to play another day .The whole mountain is that way.Cornices on every hill and canyon.
Still worth going to enjoy the sunshine and our extended spring snow.Worth seeing the slides.Stay away from the crevices.!

was gonna be down in that neck and trying to figure out how to to ride tomorrow. couldn't make it work, kinda glad by the looks of it. never ridden there, so maybe next weekend.

I have seen the aftermath of avalanches down there and they are huge, no getting out of them.

Exactly !!! You think your safe way out in the flat land and it'll get you.Scary.
Way down low side hilling the canyons and it'll still get you.Scary.
It is going to be a 'Be careful" day.

Peep stopped by wanting to go see the slides.So spent the day on the mountain giving tour guides.Didn't get there till late but snow was just getting soft.So all the crevices froze last night and stuck good.Hundreds of people up there buzzing around in the bright blue skies.Sorry didn't take many pics just a few vids of some climbs.But it is well trailed &tracked up there after today.They had a new little groomer thank God because it sure helped the trail to the mountain.Was a good casual day doing canyon climbs in the slush later in the day. Pine creek boon docking. Was plain wore out from yesterday. Looks like all stayed safe today.
Best part of day was in canyon and saw sled up above do a turnout in pic 693 (No not the big turnout off to left of it but still pretty roller coaster steep)and thought he had back pack on until heard some hooting and screaming a loud.Little kid enjoying dad taking him to the mountain on a spring bluebird day (pretty much).Couldn't tell from high pitch scream if boy or girl but in 5 yrs will be the next generation of mountain riders.

Lots of shiny new sleds and happy faces.Great spring ride in Easter weekend in april.
