Apex w/ Alpine front mount 28rs boost question?

Hmm redbull's thread has got me a little bit worried, Yamaha dealer told me I could run up 14pounds boost on Premium(94) octane fuel Anyone have any thoughts on this? 07 Apex Alpine front mount 28rs turbo, no head shim or anything What are you guys running for fuel at 14pnds boost?

No. What elevation? I wouldn't run more then 10-11 psi on stock compression on pump.

Did George have the headshim removed?Safer to run Avgas for 14#'s,a little insurance and only a few extra $$'s per tank.

Hopefully didnt do any engine damage, ran it for about 2hours at 13-14pnds Seemed fine at the time.

Unloading at 3500, Luckily by the sounds of it the sled has the head shim

I would think pump at 14lbs with a small shim and stock timing would be close to trouble at 3500 ft!

Luckily I didnt turn up the boost until 6-6500 feet and only rode for a few hours before the bushing went in my secondary and had the sled flown off the ice-cap

Ahh I know! By the sounds of it its probally better it went or I'd probally be looking at rebuilding my engine right now, not my clutch
