I need to do some turbo rebuilding. I have a 2860 have read a lot of guys run the 2871, would like to know what people think on the 2871. Spool, boost, over all performance. Thanks

from what I know about the turbo's, the 2871 will provide faster spooling as its a bigger compressor. will move more air with each rpm the turbo spins. 2nd It should create lower charge temps. so that will also help create a little bit more power.... so If you can go with a 2871. do it. or a 2876 is even better but its a bit big lol... another thing that can help but then your going to increase lag is a bigger exhaust housing, but well yeah... lol

Swapped mine this fall. I wentfrom a 2860 w/ .64 exh to a 2871 w/ .86 exh. I didn't notice any spool up difference, if anything the 2871 is a bit faster.
Quite a bit more power at the same boost. I was running 16lbs w/ the 2860 & at 14lbs w/the 2871 I had to had weight. I would recomend going to the 2871 or 2863GTX

I would say get a 2871 with a .86 AR or better yet a GTX 2867 with a .86 AR.
I had a 2871 .64 AR on my Apex and last fall switched to a GTX 2867 .86 AR. I think it spool's faster now. I'm pulling the same clutching at 16 psi that took 19 to 20 psi last year.

I have a .86 turbine housing kicking around so you could buy a 71 compressor wheel and housing use your CHRA and build up a 2871. Just an option for you.
