Apex Tunnell on RX-1

Anybody put an Apex tunell on a RX-1? How is the fitment?

I've got a short-track RX-1 I'm converting to a long(er) track, and was thinking it would be easy to find a cheap used Apex mtn tunell and suspension for it. Saves some lbs, and the tunell looks much better then the RX-1 IMO....

Lot of people have done this mod. I will this fall - I just need a pair of running board heat exchanger from a apex mountain tunnel (If anybody have some let me know) Sorry obr did mean to steal/hijack your thread.

I know toolman did this mod. It just a couple of holes that have to be drilled - rest is just work.

noooo problem buddy.

Sounds easy enough. Might have to start looking for a tunnell.....Where'd you get yours? Can you give me any idea of price? If I can't find one dirt cheap, I'll wait until I get boost and add a VE or CR tunell

I think it was 150 or 200 - I can't remeber. I bought it last summer. The tunell was taken (all pop rivets removed) apart and shipped in two boxes with USPS. I bought it from a fellow Snowest member - a :beer; to the seller for all his hazzel removing the rivets.

I am thinking about modding it to "VE style tunell". I have made AutoCAD files that are ready for water cutting, and I have bought polaris running board heat exchangers. I just can't make up my mind:confused:. I like the OEM heat exchangers under the running boards on the apex tunnel . Nice feature for Norwegian snow conditions.

If I get a hold of pair of heat exchangers from the apex mountain tunnel - it will be OEM this year - and maybe "VE - style" next year.

sleds: WHT kind of seat is that? LOL

TTE: Well thatart looking..t WAS cheap..might just start looking...but I'm liking the way rxrider is going with his tunell too, and I've got a guy that will build me the extention I want, so I have to do some thinking before deciding...

just did my conversion last week. takes less than a day to do. i went with a 16" wide track though and the gearcase nuts barely rub the track so i will be going to a 15" or using a thinner nut for better clearance.
