Apex TPS question

07 Apex MTX SE. Not running boost right now. MPI box disconnected running factory computer.
I'm throwing a code 15.

When riding if I hit the gas too fast the sled will fall flat on its face at any rpms and almost toss me over the bars.

I did the TPS diagnostic and this is what I came up with:

When I squeezed the throttle the numbers went from 0 through 30 to 0 through 80 to 0 through 97 and then back to 0 at WOT.

I searched for the other threads but didn't find anyone with the same readings I got.

Is my TPS toast?

I have the same sled but running a stage 1, before I crossed over the TORS I had the same issue showing code 84 & 15.
Crossed the TORS wires and the issue went away.

I would say that if it's not reading from 18 to 98 smoothly through a throttle squeeze with the factory box then the TPS is toast. Obviously the numbers could start or end higher based on the adjustment position (like from 15 to 95), but the range should be very stable.

Mine used to read from like 22 to 85 and with the new TPS, all better now :D

if you are getting 84 TORS code u just need to adjust for more throttle freeplay cause there are swtiches and both ends of throttle cable. don;t override or unplug the tors or else if u roll the sled u are likely to see ur sled go WOT into the trees or over a cliff

Disconnect TORS and put a tether on IMHO.

Ditto, TORS used to drive me nuts, always activate at the wrong time. Disconnected it and added a tether...no more problems. Make sure you get the right kind of tether...they ain't all created equal.

What tether do you reccomend?

Mine idles about 2100 rpm and I like it like that but I really need a tether because it really coasts especially when no one is on it.

I had a code 84 showing before and I disconnected the TORS and now I just show a code 15 and the bad TPS #'s.

Well I ordered up a new TPS today. You guys are right on the tether, I definitely need one.

Why would your sled go WOT and stay like that if you rolled it? Does snow jam in there or something?

to fix my TORS i slacked off the throttle cable. also the leads or sensors will wear out also and won't make a good connection and thus setting off the TORS

As far as the tether goes I dont know what to recomend, the GUNNAR has issues (fried mine - see link). I lke the Pingel but I'm thinking it can freeze up in our damp weather plus I don't like the way the clip works. I dropped my sled off at FTX today, curt is going to see whats available. I'll post what he reomends.
