Apex oil

Hey guys do you run the Yamalube 0W30 in your apex or something else? ie Amsoil, Royal purple.........Gonna change the oil tomorrow and wonder if I can use a good synthetic 10W30 or do I need to hunt down the Yamalube.

I have been encouraged by several, including a Yamaha dealer to use the MOBILE 1 fully synthetic 0/40 weight oil as long as you have over 500 miles on you sled and especially if you have over 1000 miles on it.

They say this oil is so good that if you run it too soon the rings may never really seat.

We run 0/40 sythetic motul for the turbo motors.

Thanks guys. I am using the Amsoil 0w40 in my quad, is that as good for the sled as the Mobil one Syn?
