Apex Mtn skid shocks (help)

I cant afford a new skid right now, but I need shocks. What works best? I know this was talked about on the old forum, but have not seen anything on this one yet.

the rear shock is a must....I found a doo hpg shock and it works well....2 years now and no issues....bolts right in with no mods. 97 670 MXZ shock...see if your local dealer has one collecting dust...mine did so I grabbed it cheap....

I have the same delima also.. thistle.. would that be recommed for boost.. and a heavy rider?..

Put a fox float in the rear and a ohlin in the front.

I purchased the Yamaha Venture? (gas) shock (details in the old forum) as recommended approx $180 at dealer. Awesome shock, much better than stock!

It looks like the MXZ shock is a no show, so what year/model Venture shock do I order?

the mxz shock is not avilable in the US, anybody know the US equivalent to the Venture mp? I need help please!

Howdy, I put the Venture shock in mine along with heavier springs from Yamaha. Works excellent, I am about 260 sittin in my gotch.

could our poster get alittle more info? which venture, what year? was it a rebuildable aluminum body shock? gotta be loads of people who upgraded shocks on an 06 apex mountain by now??? can anyone else help with proper info for both front and rear skid shocks?

he's been asking for info and help since before xmas, i wouldnt want my sled down that long. please help a sw brother out. ski

Mine is for sale, put on for about 100 miles (worked awesome) but selling sled to get Nytro. Will take shock off this weekend.
