Apex Lightweight Hood Question

I am looking to get a lightweight hood for my Apex. I am adding boost to it through Paul at Impulse. The main reason I am going with a hood is because he mounts the intercooler up high and have to remove the headlight assembly.

I know there are some different companies and wanted to see how most compare with each other. There are alpine hood, CR racing hoods, mountain fit hoods and xxxmodrods hoods. All look very similar.

I wanted to know what is the material of the CR racing and alpine hoods? The other 2 say a polycarbonate. I just want to make sure the one I get will fit the intercooler so was wondering if they are all real similar in dimensions. Also what is the best type of material?

Thanks.

Yea they always looked good but not sure if I can make it fit. Here is how the intercooler sits and a picture with a CR hood on it.

I just wasn't sure the types of material that Alpine and CR used. And if the xxxmodrods or mountainfit are really similar in dimensions, they look very close in design.

That's the way an intercooler should be mounted, your intake temps will be ice cold. Did impulse make that for you?

Mountain Fit and XXX are the same hood...XXX was a dealer for there hoods until they stole Bills vent designs and started making there own....if your worried about fitting the mountain fit is the easiest to trim, make look good and the cheapest. The others are amazingly built hoods and maybe you can order them customized but they seem a little expensive to be trimming to fit the cooler.
