Apex header issues

I have an apex with a mcx kit. At 1100kms it has just developed the unmistakable sound of an exhaust leak up by the header. I haven't taken it apart yet but assume one or more of the bellows has failed. I have been told this is a common failure for these. Is this true? If it is who has tried something other than the stock header and what luck have you had with it. Can't believe belts last longer than the exhaust. Any info appreciated.

I used to have problems, got an rx1 header pipe and welded it to mcx pipe. I have spare flex pipes if you need any.

It'll probably be the RH one. Seen a few fail, seems to be more prominent when the sled is running higher octane than needed or if running lean. If you have a messed up header you can get them in stainless instead of Ti now

03 Rx1 headers are the same bend in stainless. They just need to be lengthened a little at the collector and seem to cure the problem.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Sly you were on the money, #4 exhaust joint broken. Also found a small crack in the RH. exhaust pipe right on the weld at the Y were it goes two to one. Limey thanks for the info on Alpine as well. I believe Chad at CR also has similar set up available. I guess i will have to get on the phone tomorrow and find out what this is going to cost.
